Flowering Currant (Ribes) is an early spring delight. A deciduous shrub that has a similar growth pattern to a Lilac, this plant blooms and begins to leaf out around the same time as spring bulbs. These plants prefer sun to light shade and can grow as high as 15'. Currants are favorites of many of our garden visitors....birds, bees and butterflies. The bloom color ranges from a butter cream color to deep red. This Currant is the Mary's Peak variety...peachy and beautiful!
